Coordinated Care Drives Health Equity in Washington with Innovative Partnerships

With a dedicated Chief Health Equity Officer, a cross-department health equity team, and a workforce that reflects the communities we serve, Coordinated Care ensures the diverse needs of members and providers are understood and addressed. Since 2020, we have invested over $5.4 million with nearly 150 community organizations to support initiatives that address health inequities and consider the whole-person – fostering more equitable outcomes for our members. These programs include:
- The Coordinated Care Community Scholarship program to support first-generation, underrepresented and BIPOC students entering the healthcare field
- Medically tailored meal pilots for those with chronic illnesses
- A holistic, trauma-informed care approach for thousands of children and youth in foster care
- Virtual doula services for members statewide
